Filming camera and WMM problem?

We are having problems with a Sony HandyCam Video Camera. We're trying to get the videos on the disc to be imported onto windows Movie Maker. The Videos need to be cut and some need to be put together. These videos will be uploaded on Youtube.

  1. Sounds like you are using a DVD based camcorder and you are trying to use the camcorder with the disc in it and trasferring with USB. That probably won't work (as you have found).

    Hopefully, your computer has a drawer loading DVD drive... finalaize the disc in the camcorder, take the disc out of the camcorder, download and install HandBrake

    Put the camcorder disc in the compter DVD drive and rip the video from the DVD disc to something MovieMaker likes... .avi, .wmv...

    If your computer's optical drive does only CDs or is a slot loader, then you need to either get a drawer loader
