I have a small pool for my turtles and I need the best possible filter. The volume is about 3/4 that of the average bathtub.

What kind of filter should I get?

  1. As I'm sure you know, turtles are messy little creatures! A good filter will definately help a lot, but you're still going to have to clean the pool out fairly often.  As long as you clean the filter regularily you should find it really helps, and I find it looks nice and is nice for the turtle that the water is moving around a little.  The Stingray is a good (and not too expensive!) submersible filter I've found to be great for turtles.  For your turtle pond I'd go for the Stingray 15 model ( http://www.hagen.com/canada/english/aqua... ).   I hope that helps, and good luck with your turtle!
