All this rage over bottled water, but our house we have a reverse osmosis filteration system installed. Doesn't that make our water just as good as bottled?

  1. who really knows. some water has minerals that are good and some water is bad you have to find out from yu water co.

  2. I use bottled water.  I don't think one is better than the other - it is really what is better for you.

Bottled water can get expensive and inconvenient if you have to lug around 12 liter bottles.

However, you can cause serious health probems if you don't change your filter on your tap or Brita often enough.  It can be more damaging than the unfiltered tap water.

Just depends on you and where you live.

  3. tap water is better for you because of the fluoride in it

    bottled water doesn't have it

but of course bottled water tastes a lot better haha :)

  4. Check here for the top 10 reasons tap water is better than bottled water, and why your RO filter is better:

  5. Filters are very basic items. Advanced systems are actually classified as purification systems. A reverse osmosis system is considered to be a purification system and not a filtering system. I agree with you. Brita is a joke. It is only a basic filter as is Pur and plenty of others.

Bottled water is no more regulated than tap water. Some is simply bottled, some gets filtered, and some is purified. If I can at all help it the only bottled water I drink when I am out is Aquafina and Deer Park.

Your home system is better than most home systems and better than most bottled watter.

  6. bottled water ... because bottled water isn't as clean as tap.... and bottled water is way better...

  7. in most parts of uk the tap water is more sterile  and more filtered than bottled water so its just a waste onmoney to buy the bottles stuff ,

  8. Personally I get my fluoride from toothpaste. I don't need it from any government entity. The only difference in your filtered water and their bottled water is their filter cost much more. It is absolutely ridiculous what is happening in this regard today. Every 90 odd year old living today drank tap water. But people insist on paying upwards of $2 for a 32oz bottle of water in a convenience store. When we're out and about if I want water, I get a cup of ice and get the "filtered" water from the soda machine, pay a small fee usually .25 or .30 cents. CHEERS!  ;-)

  9. It doesnt matter they r both good.

  10. It depends where you live. I live in the North West which has better water out of the tap, than mineral water.

  11. Filtered tap is better bc bottled water is contributing to polluting the environment with tons of plastic bottles.

  12. PACK YOUR OWN WATER
