Fimware udate

Question

I turned on my computer and got a message to upgrade a harddrive that i do not have. I got the following message.
Samsung P1205 SP2X04C Hard disk Drive firmware update No samsung Hardware detected Update cancelled. A:>

My computer is hung on this screen. A manual reboot does not get rid of it. How do I get rid of this and how do I prevent this from hapenning again?
