Fin Treatment Medications?

Ok, I had some of my fish fight because i messed up their pecking order, so, one of them has a messed up tail, the fighting is sorted out, i moved them away from each other, but i need some medications for it... any ideas?

  1. Medications treat infections-- unless the fins become infected, there is no reason to medicate.  The best thing you can do at this point is separate the fish that are fighting and keep their water clean to prevent stressing them.  If an infection develops, THEN begin treating.

    EDIT: If the fins continue to deteriorate, redden, develop white edges, cottony growths, or similar symptoms that would suggest something other than fin damage is occuring.


  2. some stress medications will help heal damaged fins ,but soup n**i is right you don't need to medicate for infections unless there is a infection there.
