Question:

Fin for a 1970's Rick Surfboard?

I have a vintage 1970's Rick Speed Machine surfboard and I recently lost the fin for it. Does anyone know where I might be able to find another? They are no longer making these boards, and so far all of my searches have turned up short. The board is 7'6 single fin, and the fin box has black slider pieces so you can adjust the position of the fin. I've heard it described as a "slider fin", but whether that is the actual name for it I do not know. I'd really prefer to get another original fin, rather than replacing the entire fin box, so any info would be a big help! Thanks!

  1. Forget the new fin, sell me that board brother! That's a classic and shouldn't be in the water anyway. It belongs on your  wall (or mine). The fin probably doesn't slide, just the receiver for the fin s***w. It's probably a 'Wave Set" fin, and they are available from oneworldsurf.com. If you want to sell that board, E-mail me station21chief@yahoo.com. I rode a 7'6" Rick in early seventies. Mine was a round tail with nice fat rails (I'm 200lbs+).
