Can I mix 'em up a bit and go with Ava Noelle? for a boy, go with Max Oliver, Sorry but I can't help but think of a little grumpy green muppet who lived in a trash can whenever I hear the name Oscar!

Ava Marie - I love Ava, My daughters name Is Avalon, and we call her Ava.

Oscar matthew - Love it.

Max Oliver - Adore it.

Theodore Samuel - Not so much.

If i can mix and match a lot, Ava Belle & Oscar Max.

If not, Arabella & Oscar.

Girls' names:

My favorite by far is Arabella Noelle.  Neither name is very common (at least in the U.S. -- I'm not sure where you live), and they flow together gorgeously.  Arabella Bennet sounds like she should be a heroine in an 18th or 19th century British novel.

My second favorite is Ava Marie.  While I love the name, both names are extremely common in the U.S.  Ava is in the top 10, and Marie has been almost EVERYBODY'S middle name since the 1980's.  It's a beautiful choice, but not very unique.

My least favorite is Minnie Sofia.  While Minnie is a darling nickname, it strikes me as somewhat incomplete.  If you love it, I would recommend giving your daughter a more formal first name and using Minnie as a nickname.  Jasmine Sofia would be a beautiful and unexpected choice.  Here's a search of other female first names that contain the letters "min":

Boys' names:

My favorite is Max Oliver.  Max Oliver Bennet has such a snappy sound -- I love it!  Max sounds so cute on a child and so dapper on a grown man.  Oliver provides the perfect complement.  I love how both names are slightly old-fashioned and not seen every day.

Theodore Samuel is my second favorite.  It's a strong, classic choice.  I like the fact that you've put the less common name in the first position.  In spite of Theodore not being seen very often, it's familiar and user-friendly, and it shortens easily to "Theo," which is a darling nickname.  It doesn't quite have the kick of "Max," but it comes close.

My least favorite is Oscar Matthew.  It's not a bad name, and quite a few of the classic-name lovers have fallen in love with Oscar as of late.  I'm not one of them -- to me Oscar is still the grouch in the garbage can.  Oscar Matthew Bennet isn't as rhythmically pleasing as your other combination.  All three names are two syllables long, stressed on the first syllable, so the name sounds a bit monotonous compared to the others.

I truly love all of your names, with the exception of one: Minnie Sophia.  Minnie is a nickname, forever linked to the cartoon character.  I was reading an interview with Minnie Driver and she called it a "non-name" because it is just a nickname.  Her real name is Amelia but because her sister was too young to pronounce it, she became Minnie, and it stuck.  I would recommend giving her a full name and using Minnie as the nickname if you must.  I am also a little wary of Oscar Matthew if you live in the US.  Oscar sounds old and will always be linked to Oscar the Grouch, a stigma that may be burdensome for a child.  But Arabella Noelle, Ava Marie, Max Oliver, and Theodore Samuel are all very well thought out, wonderful names. They flow beautifully and are truly stunning.  Congrats on your excellent choices!  Good luck & God bless.

My favorite girls name is Arabella Noelle.

My favorite boys name is Max Olivier.

To me, Minnie is a little old-fashioned, but still cute.

And I Ava is pretty good, but I don't really like Marie.

Oscar Matthew is also really cute. But I just prefered Max Oliver.

And Theordore Samuel is once again, old fasioned.

I love Minnie Sofia, Oscar Matthew, and Theodore Samuel. I would stay away from Ava Marie because it is almost like "Ave Maria" or "Hail Mary." I think Arabella is too long. Nothing wrong with Max Oliver, but I do like the other names better.

I love Ava but not w/Marie...I am catholic and I automatically read it Ava Maria...

I don't like Minnie as a stand alone name...

I also read Oscar as O SCAR..

I love Max Oliver but not together because of initials MO (as in the MO of the serial rapist is...)

For a girl, the best name on your list would have to be Arabella. On the other hand, I do not care for the name Noelle, so I choose Sofia to go with it - hands down. 'Sofia' is a little common, but is very cute and feminine. If you do not care for this combination for whatever reason, I would definitely go with 'Minnie Sofia' as my second choice. I believe that the name Ava is just too common, and I never liked the name Marie. I hope you're not offended, by the way. Now, moving on to the boy...without a doubt, I LOVE the name Max Oliver. I think 'Oliver' as a first name would be made fun of a bit, but goes very, very well with the first name of Max, which is also an adorable masculine name. Just be aware of the boy's initials if you were to select this name - M. O. B.  I really hope I assisted you. The best of luck to you.

Ava Marie....such a pretty name and it has a nice "flow" to it.

Minnie and Arabella are ok, but I might chose different middle names.

(like Arabella Nicole or Minnie Elizabeth).

I like Max best out of the choices, but I'm not sure that Oliver goes well with it. (Max Dorian, Max Emerson, Max Elias)

All the boy names are great. Of the girl names I like all of them except for Arabella and Minnie. Minnie might sound cute for a baby but she will grow into a woman. Sofia and Noelle are really nice though.
