I'm thinking of buying Final Fantasy XI,

does the game have much hard bosses?

are there random encounters by fiends? i heard there wasn't

please give me ur opinion on the game, do u recomend it?

Instead of asking opinions of others, make an opinion yourself. Rent the game and play it. It doesn't matter in a game like that if a boss is hard or not -- Level up and it's a piece of cake.

uh...   Final Fantasy does not have "fiends".  In any game.  Obviously.

FFXI will leave you rather difficult ing etting a group because no one plays it.

Also, it's an MMO, which means it does not have bosses.

FFXI is currently, and has been for a while, the MOST popular PvE mmorpg, and the forth most popular MMORPG overall. It has over 500,000 active subscribers and has for quite a while. In addition, it is still gaining more members in europe and asia.

There are not random encounters, instead, the monsters run around in the world map just as you did. Some of them are not aggressive, and will only fight you if you attack it first. Others may attack you on sight, if they hear you, or are aggressive to magic.

WHile some mmos and mmorpgs dont have bosses or storylines, ffxi is different. FFXI has story-oriented missions and quests, with cutscenes. Some missions do have bosses, and some of them can be pretty difficult. For some bosses, you can level to make it easier, for some though, there are level-caps assuring at least some degree of difficulty. In addition, there are bosses at end game too, so even once you hit the max level there are still plenty of challenges out there.
