Hi guys i am kinda dissapointed after receiving my final report card today. I am in 9th grade. I need some motivation and ttips i guess. Well here goes, for final exams i got an 87 in English and an A- overall for the year. (thats ok i guess). Thats not what i am concerned about. Here is what i am concerned about though in math i got a 69!! like i don't know when i was taking the exam i felt pretty confident with it, and then i see this. i guess i just did'nt study hard enough, and next January i have to take the Math A regents, i know i have to step up my gear to the next level for studying, overall for the year i got a B- (which i know i could've done better.). Anyway in global history i got an 88 on the final exam and B+ for the year (i think that is decent. i could have pushed it a little harder though). In Italian, uggh i did terrible like my homework killed me (i have to improve my habits) 80 for final exam and C plus for the year. And bio i got 80 on regents and C+ final.

  1. it depends. there are better report cards, but there are worst ones. what really matters is how your grades compare to what colleges you are looking at, but since you are an incoming 10th grader, you are probably not thinking too much about it. but it doesn't hurt to do better, the higher your grades, the better chances you have to getting into any college you want. also check with your dean on what goes on your transcript. because some schools show the + and -, some do not. some show the final exam grades and each quarter grade, and some only show the semester grades. the good news is that you still have time to bring up your grades. colleges like to see a positive progress in your grades. so if you have straight A's your junior year, they are not going to care so much about your freshman year. don't worry so much about whether your report card is good or bad, but if your grades are good enough to get into the colleges you want to apply to.

  2. for final exams those r the most important test in the semester so u shud always try to pass those even though u failed pass exams.....and math a its not all that hard im goin to the 8th grade i took my math a last january (i was scared as ever) passed but didnt get what i wanted .....luckly they had another one in june which i toook and was ready for i got a 83 on that so dont hassle about that because u always have a second time to do it but study 2 weeks b4 time n everything will get stuck in ur head
