Final showdown of the 2012 CEV Volleyball Cup to be played in Italy – Volleyball news
Italian city Busto Arsizio is set to host the cracking final match of the 2012 CEV Women’s Volleyball Cup on Saturday, March 31.
According to the competition formula, the final phase of the tournament is supposed to feature two matches and winner of the final phase will secure the title trophy. The previous match was hosted by Turkish capital city Istanbul, while second match is set
to take place in Italy.
Turkey’s Galatasaray Istanbul and Yamamay BUSTO ARSIZIO of Italy are playing in the finals.
In the first match of the final round, Turk ladies took full advantage of the home support and bagged a splendid 3-1 victory over visiting Italian team. The Burhan Felek sports arena in TVF Complex provided the backdrop for the crucial match, which was attended
by scores of Turkish volleyball fans.
The home team did exceptionally and brightened its chances of holding the title trophy. The Italian side failed to sustain the pressure and ended up after claiming only one frame in the match. Turks won the match and celebrated victory.
Nonetheless, the Italian team returned with a firm ambition to take revenge from Turks in the next match. Now the city of Busto is ready to host the action, while Team Italia will play under the tag of hosts. All the action will take place at the Palayamamay
BUSTO ARSIZIO sports hall. The local team is totally prepared for giving a hard knock to the Turks.
This time around, the circumstances will be different for teams. Turkish ladies will have to cope with the double challenge. In the first place, they will be required to overcome the team and secondly they will have to deal with the rowdy Italian fans. The
match is about to start in next few hours and then the better team will catch the limelight.
The chances are that Yamamay will manage to tie the score with win over Turkey. The players are enjoying a great form and are pretty much confident about the advantage of familiar conditions. If the local team wins the match, it will create the deadlock
of 1-1 and then the winner will be determined on account of better set ratio.
