Finally.....I got info from irs website!?

Question

after weeks of waiting,my rebate status info finally came up! so it says that my check will be issued on June 20th,does that mean it will be mailed on the 20th or is it possible that I could get it "by" or before the 20th??? any help would be appreciated. For all of you out there that have been waiting....have patience and just keep checking,it will show up eventually!

mine is saying the same thing my brother in laws got to his mail box on the next monday so it took two days not including sunday

i know alot of people that their check was supposed to be mailed by may 30th and recieved it on june 1st , what they are doing is mailing them 2 days before the date shown so you recieve it a couple days later, and do not listen to viv only call the irs in july if you havent recieved it by then.

The IRS site typically says

Your payment of $xxxx.00 is scheduled to be issued on June 20, 2008. If you do not receive your check by July 18, 2008, please contact us again. We are unable to take any action until then.

That means they are sending out the check only on June 20 -- not before, and definitely not in your door by June 20.

This means it will begin the mail process on the 20th.  I would anticipate that check around the 2nd or 3rd week of July due to the holiday delaying mail.
