I am getting a tattoo on my inner wrist to represent everything Ive been through. How the past is the past, and how Ive grown and changed. So when I look at it to always have hope even through the bad times...

Its going to be a butterfly, and its tail is going to spell hope, and it is going to be sitting on top of a heart lock thats been cracked open.

LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK, AND PI'M OPEN TO IDEAS. THANKS =]

  1. You should first get it with henna ink. That ink goes away after like 2 months I think. You might change your mind afterwards. Remember we all go through phases that leter we regret. But other than that you should go for it. Life is short and we only live once.

  2. I think its great and it would be a great representation of your

troubles the idea is good so there are no negative comments

    from me!!

  3. I think the wrist is better, though it'd hurt more...

  4. Perhaps I am just not understand how a butterfly symbolizes all of that? It looks like every other butterfly tattoo I've seen.

  5. thatss awesome. im planning one getting one on my inner wrist as well. when i turn 16.

  6. Go for it! That sounds like such a great idea and really original. I would put it on your hip, just because some places you may work may make you cover it up with ugly bandaids.

  7. that sounds really pretty...it is really cool that you are getting one to actually represent something you have been through instead of just getting one to get one....i would get it on your arm...

  8. sweet!!! totally has MEANING!!!

  9. Love the butterfly with the hope sounds s**y, yet mature. I totally dig it. But I wouldn't put the heart thing on there it doesn't say anything positive. It kinda say I HOPE you HEART gets BROKEN and FLIES away. and what the hey does that mean?!?

The hopeful butterfly it's s**y and has a beautifully deep messages. LOVE IT!

  10. i think it looks really good, and get it on ur inner wrist

  11. That sound really cool! Go for it only U know what u went tru so if u feel the butterful is the BEST pic to describ your life......then GO FOR IT!!

  12. i like its unique :}

  13. Alright, love the pic...love it!  Now, the wrist.  Hmm...not so hot on the wrist.  I worry that if you get it to large you will not be able to cover it up if it ever becomes necessary to do so.  Please keep this in mind.  Now, my suggestion is to make it delicate and small.  I love the idea of the tail spelling "hope" but not crazy about the heart lock.  I think that the butterfly with the "hope" tail is delicate and classy.  When you start throwing in a bunch of other stuff on such a small area it looks clunky and you certainly don't want that.  Remember, your wrist is a small area and your tattoo should remain light and delicate.  I also think it would be neat to do the entire tattoo without the black outline.  Many tattoo artists don't want to do it but look it up and you will see how amazing they look without the black outlines.  It would add to the delicacy of the tattoo.  I included a link to a no outline butterfly tattoo...just take a peak.  Good Luck!

  14. sounds amazing its going to look great.love the butterfly :]

  15. i have 7 tatts and i only like two now, make sure you put it somewhere that can be hiden as color fades it the sun.

be careful of what ink you r getting as cheap ink can cause the tattoo to rise out of your skin(i know it happened to me). red ink i recomend you keep away from because it can have mercury in it, which can also cause alot of problems.. but yes very nice design

  16. It is cute. Just remember that if you want it to have more detail it will need to be larger than a wrist tattoo. Basically the smaller the tattoo the less detail that can be incorporated.

  17. sounds pretty awesome. just be careful about getting a tattoo on your wrist. you will have to be willing to wear long sleeves to some jobs. and as long as the tattoo represents you, go for it. i would recomend putting a picture of it somewhere where you can see it all the time, and in a few weeks, if you still love it and you aren't tired of looking at it, then go for it. :)

  18. i personally hate fairy and butterfly tattoos to the extreme.

    but your idea is cute.

if you really like it...and have thought about it for atleast a year. go for it

    :]

  19. simplicity is always the true beauty in life. you could put your initials on it if you want, but i'd leave it as is

  20. Is this the design? The antenna may need to go behind the wing. As the way it looks the butterfly would have see through wings.

Also if this is your 1st tattoo, get in somewhere what they call 'private'

Some may call the one on the wrist a 'tramp stamp'. I have 3 tattoos. They are all under my t-shirt and shorts line.

What language are you spelling hope in? As my step sister has 'chinese/mandarin' spelling of hope on her tattoo. Her name is Hope.

    hope this helps ;)

  21. The butterfly tat that you show is very pretty.  I think your idea is a good one.  Just make sure that you have a competent artist do it.

  22. i think thatd be awesome

  23. I Think Thats really Nice i was thinking about geting more tatoos and i had a simillar one to yours I think That you have a good IDEA Good Luck

  24. Dear Child, This tat will be the start of

your life happenings. Start a picture or story about your life  Soon u will be a well educated grown woman. Stop and think> What you are doing 2 ur body

Arm, wrist, and breast are not COOL !

Calf OR thigh are good starting points.

  25. i LOVE that picture just do the butterfly like that

  26. sounds good... but honestly what are you going to think 20 years from now when you look at it?

  27. It's fine... get it on your hip.  Don't do your wrist you will regret it with time.  You need to keep tats in such a place that you can conceal them.  I know now you say you would never want to cover, but there will always come situations where it is best that they aren't just out there.  Plus inner wrist is an extremely painful spot for a tat.

  28. It's really beautiful.  I like it's simplicity and I like the message.  It's something you can enjoy looking at--nothing tacky--just tasteful and pretty with a really nice thought.
