Finance Portfolio Transaction Consolidation does not work?

I have the same problem with all of my portfolios with mutiple transactions or enties with the same sysbol.  Also only one font size now works.  Yahoo's programing quality control is poor.  No ideas on how to fix.

Yahoo Singapore seems to be the closest to what we used to have since it has the "Set Alert" link next to "Create Transaction History" in the lower left.  This works for now, but the chances are that corporate will eventually cram their "New and Improved" format down everybody's throat, worldwide.  Sounds like a classic "Dilbert Syndrome" with too many pointy-haired bosses. . .

The view that existed before this one worked just fine - you could print a portfolio with about 40 entries on it with IE7 by selecting the stuff you wanted, go to print preview, view as selected on screen, adjust size scaling, landscape format and you got a nice spreadsheet-type printout for your historical records all on one page.  The new view effectively double-spaces the data lines and you must shrink the effective font smaller in order to fit it on one page.

Personally, I liked the previous portfolio printouts that I used to make because they came out in a very nice table with solid black header labels, block printed like an Excel spreadsheet.

One can only hope that they will look at all of the negative comments that have been posted about the "New View."

Yup.  Move your portfolio info to another site.  Yahoo did this before a year ago.  Back then I re-entered all my cost basis info.  Today, half of it is gone, on every stock I made multiple purchases of.  

That's what happens when graphics people update a finance site.  But Yahoo doesn't care, and your info is gone for good.

Happened to me too...sucks.  

When viewing a portfolio that was created before Yahoo! screwed this up, to the right of the "views" you'll see "add transaction history."  Click that and you can "convert" your "standard portfolio" into a "holdings portfolio."  The holdings portfolio still sucks with respect to viewing when you have more than one transaction in a single stock (I had a page that showed my earnings for each purchase/option, each on it's own line...now they show as one one merged line).

The value in starting this conversion process is that you can see all of the data you previously entered (prices, number of shares, dates, notes, etc).  That is handy info when moving your info to another site.  I've used yahoo finance for 5+ years...I'm probably gone thanks to this (I stopped using yahoo mail plus a couple months ago too...this is a bad trend for a company I've long liked).

Edited to add: c**p, Google Finance seems to have the same issue with multiple transactions for the same symbol (averages them into one line, instead of showing each transaction's performance).

Edited again to add: Looks like they fixed the behaviour for the old version of my portfolio.  The new/converted "holdings" portfolio still shows consolidated amounts.

Having the same issue. I reported the problem to Yahoo by clicking on the help link at the top of the page.

Hope they fix it soon!!
