Financial Aid. (FAFSA)?

Question

Is it FASTER to mail in FAFSA or to complete it online? How do u know if they e-mail or mail u your pin? I did include an e-mail address, but I do not remember any question asking to have it mailed or e-mailed. Please help.

hm i'd assume the online version would be faster and easier for processing because they wouldn't waste extra time entering the info into the computers, they are supposed to mail and email you your pin, i got both, i got my emailed pin within about 3 days after requesting it and it took a little longer for the mailed version (same number), they are automatically supposed to email/mail you your pin, just make sure you requested it and gave the correct contact info-good luck

When you registered for FAFSA, you should have a PIN.  Online is definitely faster, snail mail can also get lost.  You can check back to the FAFSA site for the status of your account but you will need that PIN.  If you don't have one or somehow lost it, go to their website and check under the help section go get a new one.

It is immensely faster if you complete the FAFSA on-line.  They can process your application in just a few days.  If you included an email address then they will email a link to your pin number to you.  If you left the email blank then they will send it by postal mail.  You can always go to http://www.pin.ed.gov and request a duplicate pin number.  They will ask you the security question that you made when you created your pin.  As long as you have that it will display your pin for you.

If you provided a email its likely to be emailed  check if its not in your spam also I think its takes 10-15 business days you should of printed out the page that shows after you filled the information for your pin because with that is the proof you did filled it out and I believe it should tell you what to do if you don't receive one after the estimated time.

It is MUCH MUCH faster to do it online. It should be emailed if you did it online, but it can take up to a few weeks at times to recieve an email.
