Okay so my EFC has not be calculated yet but at one point the FAFSA website said it was 432 or something. Now it's saying "not calculated." I just submitted my corrections though so that should be calculated soon anyway....My college is asking for about 450 dollars per month for on-campus housing. I don't have that kind of money and I JUST applied for FAFSA recently so will I even get enough money and grants? Umm, will Fafsa cover housing or any other grants like pell grant? I'm sooo confused. My college deadline is July..I haven't applied there yet but I am going to soon.

Do you think it's too late for me to get money from FAFSA? Also, since idon't have any money should I consider student loans to pay off college and housing if FAFSA doesn't give enough money?

PLEASE HELP IM A DISASTER

  1. First step is to take a deep breath.  :-)

It sounds like your efc will be in the range of 432, which would entitle you to at least Pell (approx $4,000) and a Stafford loan.  It sounds as if you are a freshmen first starting out, which would mean you are entitled to up to $3,500 in Stafford funding.

It is difficult for anyone here to know how much you will get because we don't know what your schools charges are.  Your best bet is to make an appt to talk to your financial aid office when they receive your FAFSA information and make sure you have completed everything required.  Then you can talk to them about how much you are entitled to receive and if it will cover your tuition, fees, and housing costs through the college.
