Financial aid question..Did I get it or not???

I had filed in my application for the 2007-2008 period and the college was waiting for one of my documents which I submitted after the deadline. The counselor had told me to try to get it before the deadline but if I was late she would try to get me some aid but couldnt guarantee it. This was the beginning of last week.

Today I check my financial aid status by term on my online college account and it read that my Federal aid application was accepted and a $$$ amount was posted.

Does this mean that the college has been able to obtain financial aid for me?

I would ask the counselor but the office is closed and wont be open till next Monday and I cannot wait to find out what this means. (this is my 1st time applying for financial aid so I do not know).

Most likely you got the aid.

The counselor isn't going to know the details in this.

Call the financial aid department at the college that you applied to and they will give you information. Also, you can log onto your college account and they will have more details posted on the website. If not, make sure to call financial aid tomorrow.

If a dollar amount was posted and it said your ap was accepted I'd say yeah, it got approved though I wouldn't count on it and I'd be ready to apply for loans if necessary.
