hi all, i live in Las Vegas, Nv and i go to CSN. I applied for a grant Jan 1st, 2008. I am independent (i am 23) and my efc came back as 2990, i only made $14,000 last year. I filled out the application for 2008-2009 school year. It has been alittle over 4 weeks since they told me to come down to fill out additional forms and when they received all of it. I called the office today, she said my efc is to high to be considered for a grant or even aid. So i just talked to someone with the fafsa online, he said you will be considered if ur efc is under about 4100 and that im in the mid range. he looked up my information and said maybe that got their years mixed up and was looking at the 2007-2008 school year instead of 2008-2009 school year.i am about to call them back but they are very rude so i might just go down there...do i still have a shot?
