  1. 1. 2n+2 is divisible by 2 ( n is an integer)

  2. n=2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, ....

  3. when n= 2

    4*2+1 = 8+1= 9

    9 not divisible by 5

  4. Many choices for n will result in a counterexample.

    For example:

    n = 2

    4n + 1 = 4(2) + 1 = 9

    9 is not evenly divisible by 5.
