Find a hotel in amsterdam during ibc conference?

we are americans who inadvertantly booked a trip to amsterdam during 9/12 - 9/15, the same weekend as the ibc conference. we have scoured the internet but can't find any reasonable hotel rates. any ideas?

Places close to Amsterdam that could be an option:

Zaandam, Amstelveen, Haarlem even.

You could use some booking site - i did a quick check on bookings.com for Amsterdam - and found several options.

Problem i have - i do not know what you find reasonable.

Example : Van der Valk Purmerend - 3 nights 284 EURO

Example: Anno Hotel Almere - 3 nights 210 EURO

So, basically - it all depends on what you would be willing to pay.

There are a few options - but the ones in Amsterdam would probably be too expensive.
