  1. You may be interested in this article on different parts of Spain to buy property in:-

  2. try spain4.co.uk

  3. The only places where it is cheap to buy are the places that have not been developed inland, but when I say cheap top buy I mean cheap to buy run down town houses in places where you will be the only english operson there!

All along the coastline has been over developed and prices are high, property is priced almost at the same price as the UK, the days of buying v cheap are long gone. There is a lot of resistance to more development, especially inland, so to think of an area and hope it will be developed is not a wise idea.

Property is not selling very fast here now, the housing boom is over, with some properties being on the market 12 months plus and coming down in price because there's little new investment coming into the place. People are looking to other places such as the new EU member states and Morocco for holiday homes now

  4. I have lived here for 17 years and have bought 2 properties here in different areas. If you are looking for cheap you have to buy inland. But remember you will be away from amenities and maybe the area will be very Spanish. Difficult if you don't speak the language. As for areas due for growth and development, don't hold your breath on that. It could just be agents talk. Or if it is being developed remember ths could be a building site for maybe 10 years.

I agree Valencia area is still reasonable. I live a little inland from Alicante and this area has gone up in price quite a lot in the last 5 years. Also remember if you live in a very Spanish community it will be difficult to find work. It's difficult enough here anyway. But there are some beautiful areas still undeveloped in Spain, if you are prepared to give it a go. Look at resales. Plenty of bargains at the moment.

  5. it is usually cheap to buy at the start of a new development rather than when it is established.

just type 'properties in spain' into google & you will get hundreds of various site's

    wil

  6. Valencia!!!

  7. Why not give us your criteria and those of us that have experience of living here may  be able to help more?

Regarding growth and development, the whole of Spain along the Coast is ripe for more development whether it's for the better remains a controversial issue. Also there are many, many places along the coast and also Madrid that have had illegal builds so be careful where you choose regarding development.
