Question:

Find an ancestor in England?

My great grandfather was an officer in the Polish Army during World War II. He did not return to Poland at the end of the war in fear of his life and his families. He went to England and his family was sent to Siberia for his role in the Polish Army. The last anyone heard of his where abouts was in Oxford. Is there any way I could find out where his burial place is so that many of my family members can have closure.

Really appreciate it.

  1. If you would like to email me through my profile, and include your great grandads details, such as name, age, birthplace and any thing else you think might help, I would be quite happy to make a  few phone calls on your behalf. My phone calls are free so that's not a problem.

Are you sure he died in Oxford, his death would be registered on www.ancestry.co.uk if he died in the UK, so if I found that information for you then that would narrow the search for the cemetery where  he is buried down no end. You could actually post his name on line as he has passed away.

    Hope this helps.
