  1. 2x - y = -2 =

    y = 2x + 2 this is slope intercept form

    a perpendicular line will be the inverse reciprocal

    so we want a line with slope = -1/2 and goes thru (6,0)

    subsitute in slope formula

    y = -(1/2)x + c

    0=-(1/2) * 6 + c

    so  c=3 and answer =

    y = -1/2x + 3
