There are a few campsites around windermere look at the South Lakes website for ideas.  They do get very busy in season so it may be worth looking a bit further afield.  There is a very nice little site not too far from Windermere called Ayside Caravan park, it is basic but nice and quiet.  If you want more details email me and I'll find them for you.
