Calculate the dS, dH, and dG of the above equation at 25 degrees celcius.

  1. (1) Get standard dS and dH from standard thermodynamics table in any gen chem book or a website; converst to appropriate units

    dS = [S(HCO2H)+S(H2O)] - [S(CH3OH)+S(O2)]

    dH = [dH(HCO2H)+dH(H2O)] - [dH(CH3OH)]

    Convert dS and dH to the units and then get dG as follows:

    dG  = dH-TdS where T = 25+273 Kelvin
