  2. your body has a natural sleep cycle...  If u interrupt the sleep cycle u can get start a second wind, and be up very late.  its very easy for a focused person to interrupt their sleep natural sleep cycle.  Its best to go to sleep (if u can) at the first signs of sleepiness at night.  Over time, if the signals are ignored, they get weaker, and the lack of sleep wares on a person...

one method for falling asleep: lay in bed in a position that completely comfortable.  Mentally tell your toes to relax completely.  then do the same for your feet.  then do the same for your ankles, legs, torso, fingertips, fingers, hands, arms, shoulders, and then neck. then close ur eyes and drift into a peacful sleep

another way you could try is to read a boring book.

most sleep aid drugs can be habbit forming, so i would avoid running to the doctor until you have exhausted all other options.

  3. Try relaxation techniques, soft music, turn down the lights, do not read or watch television in be (should be used for sleeping), take a warm bath, keep a pad next to the bed to write down things that are keeping you up.  Benadryl can also work (plain or in tylenol pm) but make sure you have enough time to let it wear off before you need to drive or work.

  4. i used to be just the same until someone suggested i rub oil of vertiver (from health food shops) onto the soles of my feet. this works brilliant and a small bottle will last you ages!

  5. drink yourself to sleep it helps me I get up feeling great I put my kids to bed then start drinking I sleep right through all that crying

  6. Talk to a doctor or psychiatrist.  They might prescribe you something like Ambien.

  7. try writing down whats been bugging you that day, but do it while your actually in bed with your pj's on, wth your head on your pillow, pen in hand as your write whats bugging you you should start to feel eased and probably start to drop off, just don't fall alseep on the pen! :P

  8. um exercise one day .. like something that tires you really easily and then goto sleep really early.. that will set your sleeping pattern.

  9. I am confused do you not know how to form sentences...or are you just a ten year old single parent...

  10. Have you tried Lavender Oil in a bath, or a few drops on your pillow? or Teas that combine chamomile, valerian and lavender?

  11. It's because of stress and what not. Don't think about work! stop telling yourself you have to go to work at 6 and you HAVE to wake up. Don't push yourself. Cool down pretend you dont' have work tomorrow!. Cool down.  Drink some milk!Treat yourself to a spa. Meditate and just realise all thoughts. If you take your hands and your fingers and rub your nails together hand to hand for 10 minutes u'll fall asleep.

    Get some sleeping medicine maybe.

  12. read a book till your eyes get tired then close your eyes, put your head on th pillow and day dream and eventully you will go to sleep.

                                 hope i helped=D

  13. When trying to sleep think of a subject, say, animals, what is in your house, things that relate to holidays etc and think of the name of something that begins which each letter of the alphabet relating to the subject.  You are then concentrating on this so much, your mind forgets to worry about day-to-day things of concern, relaxes and you fall asleep.  Also, don't to go bed hungry and eat lots of fruit and veg.

Really.  After about 2 - 3 years of wandering around the house most nights, reading, watching tv etc.  The diet particularly has given me good nights sleep for a few months now.  Hope it all works.  Take care.

  14. I also have the same problem but a soultion whould be to try and get to bed early and if that dosen't work get a different bed or mattress

  15. Benadryl works for me.  I take 1 or 2 pills, depending on how awake I am.  It's not addictive either.  I asked my doc and she said it's fine.

  16. Sometimes i cant sleep and i go to school with out a wink of sleep.

It really frustrates me and i feel like crying and all but you really have to clear your mind and think about nothing.

    Just relax.

    You will be fine.

  17. Are you getting out and getting enough physical exercise during the day? This can help even if its taking a walk around the block.

Not sure if this will help you, but for some reason eating a baked potato a couple hours before I need to fall to sleep helps me go to sleep. I put it in the microwave, put little butter & some Ranch dressing on it and sometimes drink a cup of milk with potato.

Against what most people say, I find having a tv in my bedroom helps me to go to sleep.

Sometimes, just getting up to empty your bladder will help one get back to sleep even if you don't feel you need to...for others I know it can keep them awake so you'll have to experiment with this one.

A long warm bubblebath before going to bed helps me also.

If you have a partner, see if you can get them to give you a massage. Even just a back & shoulder massage can do a world of good for relaxation. If they want you to return the favor, let them know you can do it during the daytime when you don't need the rest as much.

Of course, also if you have a partner, the act of intimacy helps many relax and sleep.

  18. It's too serious for natural remedies.l have the same problem. My doctor prescribed STILNOCT sleeping pills. They are so gentle and ease off in the middle of the night,to no difficulty in the morning.l take them 3 days in every 7 in a small dose.Transformed my daytime hours. So long as you are actually tired when you go to bed,all you need is a gentle mental push into sleep and that is what this pill does.If your not tired,it's so gentle it won't work

  19. LSD.

Yeah, you may be wired for a day or two, but once you start coming down and ultimately crash. You will have the best undisturbed sleep of your life

  20. I don't know of any natural sleep remedies, sorry, and mostly those don't work anyway.  It seems to me that you are really stressed out and that this is most likely the root of your problem.  just try to cut as much stress out from your daily life if you can and relax whenever you get the opportunity.  I have had this problem for years and I need prescriprion medication to get me to bed at night.  You could try Unisom if you don't want products containing acetaminophen, or if you don't mind products containing that, then Tylenol PM.  I hope this gets better for you!

  21. heyy.. a great trickk to a good nights sleep is lavender oill put a feww drops on your pilllow it relaxes you which makes it easier to fall asleep also if youve ever heard of avon, they sell sleep therapy spray balm etc and it is great i love it ...always a good nights sleep =]

  22. Try "lanesta."  I think that is what it is called.

  23. pull an all nighter one night then the next night you will so tired you will fall asleep

  24. Have you tried doing something relaxing before you go to bed? Like Yoga or maybe visualizing yourself at a calm place, like the beach...

Listening to the radio or to books on tape help me fall asleep.

  25. Night nurse

have a hot bath before bed

    warm milk (does work)

turn your computer and tv off at least 30mins before bed

    excersise plenty during the day

    read a book in bed

    turn off your mobile

    Hope some of that helps!

  26. Make sure you're relaxing before bedtime. Do some activity that really calms you down. Maybe try listening to music or reading. If that doesn't work, ask your doctor about sleeping pills.

  27. I have the same problem, am yet to try sleeping tablets. But what I find helps for a while, is to stay awake all night and day, then get an early night the next night early, hopefully this will reset your body clock. Also sometimes, I watch a movie I have already seen before and turn the volume quite low, this means that I know what happens and am not as interested, but it makes my eyes tired!

  28. Hi,

Well first of all DO NOT TAKE PILLS to help you sleep - even if they are herbal, natural organic etc. etc.!

You should put lavender and/or aloe vera (like 3 or four drops of each) on your pillows and/or bedclothes.

I use a lip balm to help me sleep, i dont know how it works but it does! I used to find it very hard to sleep until I bought "Badger Lip Balm" and it is very effective.

Secondly, drinking a cup of camomile tea before you go to bed is also beneficial.

You should not take any caffeine drinks like coffee, coke, red bull etc. after about 3 (in your case if you REALLY find it hard to sleep) - even if you are tired during the day as it takes caffeine at least a half hour to work.

If you find you can not get to sleep because you are too hot, take of a blanket, or put your feet out of them. Turning your pillow over also cools your head. Stand up out of bed and just walk to the toilet even if you dont need to and then go back to bed.

Drinking warm milk also makes you sleepy...

I hope I helped - and I hope you get to go to sleep quicker...

  29. marijuana helps me.

  30. How 'bout you try closing your eyes then count sheeps, dogs or whatever you like.  But if you can't still sleep you can always try to close your eyes then think about your work or think about what happened today at you time,  but remember you should do that while your eyes are closed.  I sometimes do that.

Remember set the alarm first before you do that!! Good luck.  ;)

  31. try hurble nightol or calms they help a warm drink of milk or hot chocolate errrrmmm a relaxing tape   and horlicks i used to have the same problem ! good luck mate xx
