Find the area of the region that lies beneath the given curve.

y=root5(x), 0<=x<=32..... so... it would be y=x^(1/5) and the area beneath that curve from 0 - 32.

  1. Take the anti-derivative:

    f(x) = x^(1/5)

    F(x) = (5/6)x^(6/5)

    Second Fundamental Theorem of Calculus:

    F(32) - F(0)

    160/3 - 0

    160/3 is your answer
