Using the division algorithm

108=15x7+3

7=2x3+1

Eliminating mutiples of 3

1=7-2x3

=7-2(108-15x7)

=31x7 -2x108

so,

31x7 = 2x108+1

hence the mutiplicative inverse of

7 in Z108 is 31
