  1. check out this website...!!

  2. You can't. If he is giving you nuisance calls, tell your phone company and/or police, and they will sort it out. There is no way of you getting info on ex directory numbers. Would you like if your ex directory status was compromised?

Miss Berry - not only assault, but a severely abusive or threatening call causing mental anguish can also be tried as GBH.

  3. if u call BT u may be able to find out, this happened to us and they told us it was the payphone at asda, sometimes they will only give the info if u guarantee that ur going to take action with the police.     otherwise best thing is to get the BT package where u can list numbers that u want to bar so they cant get thru it costs a few pounds a month, also u can ask for yr phone not to accept withheld calls so that should get him.

  4. here we got...payphones from around the word!!

  5. Phone or email BT, if it is a public payphone, they should give you it's location. Or you could just ring it and ask whoever answers it.

  6. Let's get legal!  If you receive a minimum of 2 unwanted phonecalls i.e. the person is abusiv/threatening or says nothing at all it is deemed as assault.  It falls under the Protection from harrasment Act 1997.  In a court of law it is deemed as assualt.  Go to the Police and explain, you can also report him.  I am sure you will not receive any further calls.

  7. You can't find out who the number belongs to, however you can get your telephone provider to block the number from calling you. (BT call it "Choose to Refuse" and charge £3.35 a month)

  8. The very short answer to this question is you cannot, BT will not give you the location for a call box.

Your only 2 ways of doing this are;-

A - report as nuisance call, you would be given the information but you will be offered a renumber free of charge, if the calls have been in any way threatening you should also lodge a police report.

    Or

B - Ring it hope someone picks it up and asked them where they are.

    Hope this helps you?

  9. Choose to refuse is probably best just to bar the number, you can also bar up to 10 numbers so whoever it is should get bored.

The above comments are right, you can never find out where a payphone is located from BT. If you call the nuisance call advise line for BT assuming you are a BT customer on 0800661441 they can give you CTR free for 1 month.
