  1. (3x-4y)+(6x+2y)i=5i

    (3x-4y)+(6x+2y - 5)i = 0

    real part must be zero and imaginary part also

    3x-4y = 0

    6x+2y - 5 = 0

    x = 4y/3

    6(4y/3) + 2y - 5 = 0

    8y + 2y - 5 = 0

    10y = 5

    y = 1/2

    x = 2/3

    .

  2. Compare the real and imaginary terms.

    Real terms: 3x-4y=0

    Imaginary terms: 6x+2y=5

    Now solve these simultaneous equations. Over to you.
