  1. x = [ln5/ln3 + 1] / 2

  2. 2/3

  3. parenthesis is helpfull... is that 3^(2x-1)

    or (3^2)x-1?

    one you just solve for x... the latter the other you have to use the natural log function to bring the 2x-1 down.

    ln 3^(2x-1) = ln 5

    (2x-1)ln 3 = ln 5

    2x-1 = ln5 / ln3

    I dont have a scientific calculator right now.. do the logs and solve for x.

  4. 3^2x = 6

    2x log 3 = 6

    x = 6 / (2 log 3)

  5. 3x3=9 so:

    9x-1=5

    5+1=6 so:

    9x=6

    x=6/9 or 2/3

  6. make 3 and 5 a common base,  then raise the five however many times you had to multiply it by itself, then for the three, for do the same thing only multiply that number times the 2x-1

    then set the powers equal to one another and solve for x
