Finding Golf Balls for fun, got any tips?

I enjoy looking for golf balls and collecting them, Anybody else have the same hobby? anybody have some tips on how to find them ? eg, best spots to look? ways of looking?... cheers

Look in areas where tee balls land. They are the wildest shots and most often lost. Look between 200-250 yards off tee in the woods, rough, etc.

This is exactly what i do everytime I go out and play golf. By the time I'm at the turnaround, I'm exhausted and frustrated so while my husband plays, i search for balls. One time I came home with nearly 50 extra balls (titleist, callaway, topflite, etc)!!!

Anyways, the best place to look, out of my experience, is in weeds, grass, trees, etc., on the SIDES of a fairway that are the outskirts of the entire course.  I love these places!

My father jogs on a nature trail that runs adjacent to a golf course.  He finds golf balls all the time that were hit out of bounds.  Some are in good shape, some not so great.  I use the latter for practicing pitches & chips in my back yard.
