Finding a Job In Political Science/Government field.?

Question

I know someone who is looking for a job in politics. He actually interned as a fundraiser for a congressman and worked on a campaign for a month but that didnt work out. This person is really intelligent and wants to do great things for the world, yet he can't find a job.

He doesn't have much experience, but can't afford to settle for an internship. Does anyone know of any head hunters in the Political Science/Government field or a good website to find jobs in this field? Or maybe even any staffing agencies in the NYC or Florida area?
