  1. If you are looking at online price guides, then you are sadly being misled. The price guides are out of date and overinflated the prices you should expect.

Instead, look at ebay to see what people have actually paid for your collectibles. By looking at completed auctions, you will be able to determine what yours would sell for.

    1. Log in

    2. Do a search for the item.

    3. Click the 'Completed Items' checkbox (this is why you needed to log in)

    4. Click the 'Show Items' button.

Now you will see completed auctions. If the dollar amount is in red, then the item did not sell, and your item is worth less than the listed price. If green, then that shows the value that at least one person was willing to pay.

This method of determining value is SO much more accurate than any online price lists. Also, it lets you see the layout of the most successful (highest selling price) auctions, giving you hints on how you should construct your auction.

    Good luck!

  2. try looking up hot wheels on ebay or they have a price guid for hot wheels i have 3 thousand hot wheels so i bought a price guide off of  ebay

  3. The market has been hit pretty hard by the downturn in the economy. Some of the "Good" stuff is still bringing decent money, but some of the more common things have dropped a lot. Here is the general guidelines I would go by for NEWER blisterpacks (c.2000 or newer):

If it has a green stripe on the blisterpack that says "Treasure Hunt" or "T-Hunt", then it IS worth something. Even the junk ones usually got for at least $5. Some of the ones from 1995 go for hundreds of dollars.

If it is a muscle type car/truck then it might be worth something. It all depends on the variations such as wheels and tampo decorations. Even then, most of these cars are only worth $2-3ea.

Generally, other than that, most of them are not worth a whole lot unless they are a scarce variation... some are even worth less than what he originally paid for them. I see new blisterpacks all the time on Craigslist and eBay at little as $.25 each in bulk.
