Finding a lost reletive?

i am attempting to find my dad, how do i find him, by only a name and an area of were he may live?

If you know his name, try typing just his name in google search, you never know, lots of info out there.  If your Mom and Dad were married get a copy of their marriage license, it will have his family on it.  It should also have it on your birth certificate, then check with that family, they may have some info to help you.  It may take awhile but hang in their and God Bless   MaryAnn

How about trying either www.192.com (He may be in the phone book) or the voters register.
