Question:

Finding a person who you sat by on an airplane flight????

I live in the US, but when I was flying with British Airways from London to Barcelona on the 20 of June, I sat by a man named Martin, who had moved from Australia to London. As I am doing a foreign exchange program to London and would like to meet this man again, is there any way to see the seating arrangement of a flight? To see who you sat by?

Thank you for your time.

Leilani.

  1. For safety reasons, no - you can't see the seating arrangement of a flight.

Search Myspace, Facebook...do you remember what the man's last name started with? Add that to your searches.

    Also, try searching U.K. phonebooks:

You'll have to register for the second one, but it would probably be worth it.

I wish you the best of luck in finding Martin. :)

  2. No. There are privacy issues. If you didn't get his full name and other particulars when you sat next to him, you'll never find him. For all you know, his real name wasn't even "Martin".

Sitting next to and striking up conversations with strange people on an international flight is like meeting someone in a singles bar -- they can claim all kinds of things because they know they'll never have to see you again.

  3. I don't think so, Leilani. Imagine if people can find you like that, don't you think it'd be creepy if any man who sat next to you can track you down later?

Maybe you can post some ads asking him to contact you.

  4. you could always try myspace. i know, but maybe type his name in and set the search for males around what you thought his age was in london, and if your lucky he may have a pic up so youll know!

    good luck in the search!!
