  1. ok...there could be some problems with agencies....

    1) where do you live? its not like there is a agenice in the next town, ya know? you will need to be able to make a drive, etc.

    2) any acting experience? agencies look for this. they don't want to just manage someone with no previous experience.

    3) acting classes? they look for this...kinda falls under experience but still important.

    4) recent professional headshots....majority of all agencies look for headshots...professional photographer quality. This could be pricey.

    5) Don't get ripped off. If they are charging you a rediculous amount of money to manage you, walk away. Just because it is a proposal does not mean it will happen. There's no promises in the business. And if your agent isn't willing to work with you to get you out there, then its a waste of money.

    6) audition experience. They will look for this. Don't show signs of nervousness. most agencies require an audition. stupid i know, but the truth. They look for basically a nearly perfect audition...no signs of hesitation or nervousness.

although you were proposed a tv show spot, there will be an audition and don't be surprised if someone else gets the spot.

you just need to think about these things. like how ligit is it?

trust me...it took me forever to go through agencies. and finally find the right manager.

just look in your yellow book near you. they should have listings of local ones although don't be surprised if they're aren't many.

    well Good Luck! =]

  2. you have to first of all. Copy right your material. If you can't afford it just send it to your self and that will proof it. then Make copies and send them out. but It will take time. They get hundreds of them. Just do a search for networks.  You can send it your self.  You will have to contact someone in a major city Like New York. You can do a search at the yellow pages site. Your gonna have to do a lot of the leg work thought. Good luck to you.
