Finding adopted siblings?

i have a friend who was a foster mom and got a baby at five days old she was able to adopt that child, she is almost 20 now she has 2 sisters ,one is 2 years older than her and one is 18 months younger she wants to find them ,she knows the younger one was adopted by someone in her town but adoptive mom died ,she thinks her aunt is raising her now.the older one the last time she saw her she was 2 and lived at least 60 miles away she has a birth name for her and her birthday her daughter wants to find her siblings ishe knows the mother had more she thinks boys and there dad has them for her daughter case it was termination of parental right and a closed adoption can anyone help her. the daughter knows nothing except she has these siblings she wants to find.can records be open and where does she begin

  1. You didn't say what state the adoptee is in.  Without knowing what state it is difficult to give info on how to search and make contact.

    She should contact both the state and adoption agency if known to put a release in the file in case the siblings request info or contact with family members.

    Register with ISRR.net  as well as any state run registries and private registries.
