What is the boiling point of a solution prepared by dissolving 375g of Sulfur (256.5g/mole) in 1250g of CCl4?

Kb=5.05*C/m, B.P pure CCl4=76.7*C

  1. Moles S8 = 375 g / 256.5 g/mol = 1.46

    molality = 1.46 mol / 1.250 Kg =1.17

    delta T = 1.17 x 5.05 =5.91

    boiling point = 5.91 + 76.7 =  82.6 °C
