my dad was adopted and i located his birth records but they were no use. instead of the birth parents names it had the adoptive parents names which are his aunt and uncle, or great aunt and great uncle..

anyway im trying to find his birth parents because i want to know for myself just where they are and what they're doing.. i know they had a daughter about two years before my dad was born.

how can i find these people?

i dont have my grandfathers name and all i have are my grandmas first name and my aunts first name..

how could i conduct a search for these people on just this?

any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

  1. So by these questions, can I assume that neither your Father, nor Grandparents are alive? IF I can work under that assumption, then you might want to send for death certificates. They generally list the maiden names of females, and the parents names should be listed. While the adopted parents would be the one's listed on your fathers certificate, the parent's listed on your grandparents should be biological (unless they too were adopted). From there you should be able to look up census information (assuming they were born before the 1930 census).

I hope you find the information you are looking for. I too am having to deal with an adoption situation, but don't have as much information to work with. It can be frustrating.

    Good Luck!

Edit: The reason I suggest looking in the census is to find the siblings of the Aunt and/or Uncle. One would have to be the parent or grandparent, right? I hope this works out for you. My Father in Law was adopted, he is dead, as are both of his adoptive parents. The whole situation is so much red-tape it's a pain in the butt!

  2. The answer is depending on where these persons were.

You have something that opens a door for you, that the adoptive parents are relatives.  Trace them as if they were correct.. and you'll probably recognize the correct parent.  If born prior to 1930 in the US, you'll be able to pick them up in census as well.

  3. Hi use  daughter name look for the daughter

  4. Thats a tough one.  Did you try contacting the place where he was adopted? Did you check at city hall?

Good luck, and God BLess ya
