Finding my mother?

my mother left our family about 5 years ago (by choice) and all i know is she went somewhere in the uk (we live in the US) so i cant just go looking for her or even know where to start or what services they have over there. i was wondering what are some options i could try to track her down. ive done internet searches from google,to yellowpages to myspace type sites. i cant find anything current using her old married name or maiden name.for all i know she could be remarried and using a new name which doesnt help me. all i really have to work with is her name/bday and i have her SS number. is there any place i can contact that may be able to help besides a private investigator (if that would even help). im not going to pay those internet sites that track people down because i have zero faith in them. any ideas would be appreciated

  1. Hi so sorry you have lost contact with your mother try the international Salvation army site in your own country they will be able to advise you www,salvationarmy.org  or www.missingpeople.org.uk Do remember though that she may have changed he name completely, and not want ot be found. Do you have any information on her contacts in England does she have family here?  Your best bet is the Social security department in England If she is working here you should be able to trace her.  I wish you luck in your search.

  2. go to UK and find out who her lowyer is then get on his good side and he may tell you or give you some information about it
