Question:

Finding my old pony...

by  |  earlier

I've lost contact with the owners of my first pony who I sold him to about a year and a half a go, and want to see him. How can I go about this? I'd like to put a "desperately seeking" ad in a mag like Your Horse or Horse and Rider, but I need it to appear in the actual mag, not just on the site.

Thanks for any help =]

  1. Sorry I don't know the answer but I can so understand the feelings you have about this now. Good luck in your search. If you have the owners name try looking them up in the voting register in the area they were last living in.

  2. Go looking for him in a car.

  3. Do you know if they are still living in the same city? You could put an ad in the paper, if they would see it

  4. email horse and rider it costs £2.50 to advertise in their mag!

  5. put an ad in the wanted section of dream horse. And other horse websights and maybe someone who knows that pony or shows on the same circut or something with that pony would contact you.

  6. there is an option on their sites if u want your advert to appear in the magazine but the internet option could still work

have u tried going to the stables where they used to keep your old pony or at least going back to the area he was kept in. We sometimes get people coming to our yard looking for certain ponies/horses. The horse community is quite close knit and u never know your luck

A pony appeared at our yard a few months ago and i used to have him on part loan nearly 15 years ago, i was amazed to see him and had tried to find him many years ago so i know how u are feeling

    good luck
