Finding slope???????????

Question

f(x)=square root x+1 at (3,2) and I have no idea how to do this. This was under the derivative chapter in my book.

Take the derivative of f(x) and evaluate f ' (x) using your x-value of 3

I get 1/4 as my answer but I might be rusty on derivatives.  Check my math.

f(x) = (x+1)^.5

f ' (x) = .5(x+1)^(-.5)    at x=3
