If an object's position is specified by the vector

{ 40 m (20m/s)t - (10m^2/s^2)t^2 } j

then its acceleration at t=2 is ?

  1. Acceleration is the double derivative of position with respect to time.

    Do that and you'll get (-20)j. The fact that it's written in vector notation doesn't really make much difference to the process.
