an object weighs 600N on Earth and it is placed 100km above the surface of the Earth. what is its weight and altitude. show the process

  1. Altitude is 100km, given in the problem

    weight would vary to the inverse square of the distance.

    Would need to know the radius of the earth (distance from surface to centre), lets call this R

    W@100km =W*R^2/(R+100)^2

    remember to keep R in km units too
