Finding the center of gravity?

how can you locate the center of gravity of a ring? and an irregular shape object?

If it is an irregularly shaped flat object you can find the center of gravity by hanging it from two points somewhere along the edge and drawing verticals down from each point.  Where the lines you have drawn intersect is the center of gravity.
