Question:

Finding the correct swimsuit size? ?

I just found a one- piece speedo swimsuit that I really want on a super sale discount. The only dilemma is that the only size they have is 32.

The swimsuit is made of 74% Nylon and 26% Xtra Life Lyrca. It has this weird string back.

(Note: I am looking at the Speedo Endurance Collection)

I mostly wear a size 4-6 or small/medium for woman clothing.

I weigh about 106-109 pounds and I am 5 feet tall.

My Measurements are:

Bust: 30A/ 30 inches

Waist: 26.5 -27 inches

Hips: 30-33 inches

Torso:54-44 inches <-- I have a short torso.

I am already on the swim team, so this swimsuit is going to be my new practice suit. (My last several practice suits were old competition suits and they were anywhere from 28- tyr 34)

I dont know how tight or how much "give" is in a speedo swimsuit. I am scared that it the swimsuit would be too long or big for me.

Or it would fit me for like a week, and the chloride will get it way too baggy the next week.

Thanks!

  1. The speedo endurance suits don't stretch very much due to the chlorine resistant fabric. I've had an endurance suit for a year now (it was a meet suit, but now I'm wearing it for everyday practice) and it's still going strong!

I wear a size 32 but I'm much taller and a bit heavier than you. It all depends on personal preference. If you like how your other size 32 suits fit, then this one will probably be good. Awesome choice in suit, by the way!

  2. Hi,

I found this sizing chart for the Women's Speedo Endurance line:

    http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/8601/...

when I clicked on "Sizing Chart" on this page:

    http://www.swimoutlet.com/product_p/8505...

    Hope this helps!

  3. On the page for the suit you are looking at, you can click to see the size charts. You can also check for the same suit you like on the kiefer or swimoutlet site.

Also, if you are looking for practice, dolfin uglies (don't be afraid of the name) will be cheaper and do just as good as an expensive Speedo endurance suit. Click on competitive suits, click on Dolfin suits in the kiefer site. Click on women's suits, click on competitive, click on polyester on the swimoutlet site. When you get to the suit of your choice on either site, click on the size charts on the page.

    www.swimoutlet.com

Good luck. Hope you find a good suit and a good price. I just looked at your link and you should have better luck finding a good dolfin suit at a much cheaper price than that expensive Speedo suit.
