  1. The answerer before me said you can't answer this because half of it is in radian form (sin/cos) and the other half is in degree mode - this is absolutely false, you can calculate sin/cos for degrees or radians, just make sure your calculator is in degree mode.

There are 60 minutes in a degree, 60 seconds in a minute, so

    a. 22 degrees, 43' = (22+43/60) degree

Just enter in your calculator (make sure you enter brackets)

    (22 + 43/60) sin

If your calculator doesn't have brackets, then enter:

    22 + 43/60 = sin

If your calculator is more advanced, where you enter the function first then enter:

    sin (22 + 43/60)

    answer: 0.38617

Do the same for b, c

    b. cos(44 + 56/60) = 0.70793

    c. tan (11 + 37/60) = 0.20557

    d.

    19 degrees, 0' 25" = (19 + 0/60 + 25/(60x60)) degrees

    = (19 + 25/3600) degrees

    cot (19 + 25/3600) = cos (19 + 25/3600) / sin (19 + 25/3600)

    cot (19 + 25/3600) = 2.90307
