I really want a tv. But i'm the type of person that would prefer research and knowing about something before I buy it. I really want a flat screen..but I don't know all that things in between [plasma, LCD, etc.] Can someone please explain all that to me? that's be really helpful.

here are some other facts about my ideal TV & all in between;

*I really want to buy a Scarlet TV, from LG.

*26 inches would be perfect. Nothing more than 30-32 inches.

*where I live, there's only a sears, costco, and walmart. so yeah

=) if you answered, thanks so much for helping me out. I'm sure you people know tv's better than me! =) thanks once again!

  1. If you the asker are the 14year old in question let me tell you a couple of things that may help.    There is nothing wrong with a standard type CRT television as far as picture quality goes. Many are still saying that crt sets have a better picture,,,,,just google the net and see!

    Unless you are wealthy then a good second hand 26 inch color t.v. should suit you just fine.  For less than $150 you could get a flat screen CRT T.V. say LG with 3 AV inputs and Svideo.

    This could give you 5 or more years of service giving you the time to slowly acquaint yourself with the new technologies and what the differences are while enjoying good viewing.

    Add to this a SD set-top box (second hand $80-100) and you could sample the new free to air digital transmissions on your crt set giving you access to additional local stations. If  Analogue tv transmissions are discontinued in your near future, having the digital set top box will mean that you can still use your CRT TV for  "Free to air" television transmission viewing.

    With LCD t.v.'s of this size you will pay a lot more for a new one.

  2. im 16 and i saved up for a 42 inch lcd sony and itz great

    i would sugest a 26 inch sony or samsung lcd even though plasma is better at first but their quality dies out in about 4-5 years

    lcd stands for liquid crystal display and it does have great picture quality

  3. A 14 y o does not need a tv.

    It's summertime.  Go outside and PLAY.
