Finding the tension..help!!

Question

a 0.80kg bed sheet hangs from clothesline of negligible mass. the clothesline on either side makes an angle of 3.0deg. with the horizontal. Calculate the tension in the clothesline on either side of the sheet

Suppose tension = T

T makes angle 90 - 3 = 87 deg with vertical.

Total vertical component of tension = 2T cos(87 deg)

Note: - I have used 2T to take care of tensions in both sides.

This balances weight.

2T cos(87 deg) = 0.8 * 9.8

Now calculate T.
