Finding work in NYC?

Question

I am planning on moving to NYC in less then a year and I would like to know how difficult it is to find a good job there. I live in Detroit now and am a college student, business/marketing. I would be going to school and working full time. I have tons of experience in sales, retail and B2B. I want to start looking in August and I will make a trip out there if I have to in order to land a job.

Any input would be appreciated!
